The Toyota Land Cruiser was developed by the Japanese army in a project similar to the Jeep Willys. In 1984, a new generation of Land Cruiser was launched on the market. It was available in three chassis lengths: 70 (short), 73 (medium) and 75 (long). The letters LJ indicate that the model is powered by a diesel engine, unlike the petrol-powered RJs. A few years later, Toyota launched a more powerful turbocharged engine. These versions were logically called "Turbo". Despite its name, the Land Cruiser is still an off-road vehicle, so it is much more comfortable off-road than on.
