In response to the introduction of Ludospace vehicles by the PSA Group, Renault recognized the need to modernize the outdated and boxy design of the Express Break "5 Places." This challenge was successfully addressed in 1998 with the launch of the Kangoo, which became a true bestseller in the late 1990s and left a significant mark on the history of French automobiles. The successor to the Renault Express owes a considerable portion of its success to its innovative third sliding door, sleek rounded lines, and exceptional interior space. Remarkably, over 2 million units of the first generation were produced. The Kangoo phenomenon extends beyond France, as evidenced by the "Jamboree Kangoo," a large gathering held since 2009 at the foot of Mount Fuji in Japan.
