Renault 8 S Yellow 1968

To complete its catalogue, and to fill the gap between the Major and the Gordini, Renault decided to launch the 8S. A car with an almost identical look to the 'Gord' but with different characteristics. Under the bonnet was the engine of the Caravelle 1100S 53hp, 25 less than the Gordini but 7 more than the Major. Inside the Renault 8S there is a wooden dashboard, like the Major, but with a few reminders of sportiness, notably the performance dials. The R8S was the best example of Renault's compromise at the time.
